B.C. Reg. 186/2024, deposited July 8, 2024, under the CARBON TAX ACT [section 84], MOTOR FUEL TAX ACT [section 71] and PROPERTY TRANSFER TAX ACT [section 37]. Order in Council 451/2024, approved and ordered July 6, 2024.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the following regulations are amended as set out in the attached Schedule:

(a) the Carbon Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 125/2008;

(b) the Motor Fuel Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 414/85;

(c) the Property Transfer Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 74/88.

Schedule

Carbon Tax Regulation

1 Section 41.8 (3) (b) of the Carbon Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 125/2008, is repealed and the following substituted:

(b) subject to subsection (4),

(i) affirm, amend or change the decision or nature of the decision, or

(ii) direct the director to reconsider the decision or nature of the decision, and .

Motor Fuel Tax Regulation

2 Section 51.92 (3) (b) of the Motor Fuel Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 414/85, is repealed and the following substituted:

(b) subject to subsection (4),

(i) affirm, amend or change the decision or nature of the decision, or

(ii) direct the director to reconsider the decision or nature of the decision, and .

Property Transfer Tax Regulation

3 Sections 20 (3), 21 (6) and 23 (3) of the Property Transfer Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 74/88, are amended by striking out "notice of objection" and substituting "notice of appeal".
