RETENTION OF PROVINCIAL PARKS
PARKING FEES REGULATION

Definitions

1 In this regulation:

"day parking fees" means the fees payable for vehicle parking referred to in sections 2 (2) and (3) of Schedule C of the Park and Recreation Area Regulation, B.C. Reg. 180/90;

"operator" means an operator as defined in the Park and Recreation Area Regulation;

"parking pass" means a "Recreation Stewardship Annual Pass" referred to in section 2 (1) of Schedule C of the Park and Recreation Area Regulation;

"parking pass fees" means the fees payable for a parking pass.

Retention of fee

2 (1) An operator who has contracted with the government to collect day parking fees is authorized to retain 15% of those fees as remuneration for services performed.

(2) An operator who has contracted with the government to collect parking pass fees is authorized to retain, as remuneration for services performed, $7.00 of the parking pass fees for each parking pass sold by the operator.

(3) If so authorized by a contract between Tourism British Columbia and the government, Tourism British Columbia is authorized to retain, as remuneration for services performed, $9.00 of the parking pass fees for each parking pass sold by Tourism British Columbia or by subcontractors of Tourism British Columbia.
