Safety Standards Act
[includes amendments up to B.C. Reg. 288/2004]
1 Except to the extent that the administration of the Safety Standards Act or regulations made under that Act is delegated to a local government, the administration of the following enactments is delegated to the British Columbia Safety Authority:
(a) the Safety Standards Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 39, except for sections 4, 5, 6, 8, 43 to 48, 51 to 62, 81, 83 to 85, 87 to 90 and 91.1;
(b) the Electrical Safety Regulation;
(c) the Elevating Devices Safety Regulation;
(d) the Gas Safety Regulation;
(e) the Safety Standards General Regulation;
(f) the Power Engineers, Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Refrigeration Safety Regulation.

2 For the purpose of administering, within the jurisdiction of each of the local governments referred to in column 1 of the table, the regulations referred to in column 2 of the table, the administration of
(a) the Safety Standards Act, except for sections 4, 5, 6, 8, 12 (1), 14 (1), 20, 21, 43 to 48, 51 to 62, 81, 83 to 90 and 91.1,
(b) the Safety Standards General Regulation, and
(c) the regulations referred to in column 2 of the table
is delegated to the local government referred to in column 1 of the table.
