Adult Guardianship Act

DESIGNATED AGENCIES REGULATION

Definitions

1 In this regulation:

"Act" means the Adult Guardianship Act;

"health region" means an area that under the Regional Health Boards Regulation, B.C. Reg. 293/2001, constitutes a region for a regional health board;

"regional health board" means a board continued or designated under the Regional Health Boards Regulation, B.C. Reg. 293/2001.

Community Living Services for Adults Program

2 (1) For the purpose of performing functions under Part 3 of the Act in relation to adults resident anywhere in British Columbia who are eligible for the Community Living Services for Adults Program of the Ministry of Children and Family Development, that ministry is designated as an agency.

(2) A designation under any other section of this regulation does not authorize or require another designated agency to perform functions under Part 3 of the Act in relation to adults who are eligible for the Community Living Services for Adults Program.

Health regions

3 For the purpose of performing functions under Part 3 of the Act in relation to adults resident in a health region for which the following regional health boards are responsible, each regional health board is designated as an agency for its region:

(a) Fraser Health Authority;

(b) Interior Health Authority;

(c) Northern Health Authority;

(d) Vancouver Coastal Health Authority;

(e) Vancouver Island Health Authority.
