Section 2.10. Community Care Facilities
2.10.1. Construction

1) Community care facilities shall be constructed in conformance with the requirements of the British Columbia Building Code.
2.10.2. Staffing
2.10.2.1. Staffing

Community care facilities shall be staffed in accordance with the appropriate requirements of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and its regulations.

2.10.3. Combustible Materials
2.10.3.1. Combustible Materials Attached to Walls

Combustible materials, such as artwork and teaching materials, that are attached to walls shall not cover more than 20% of the area of each wall.

Flammable liquids and combustible liquids shall be stored in conformance with Part 4 and in areas inaccessible to children.

2.10.4. Fire Safety Measures
2.10.4.1. Fire Prevention Inspections

Staff members of day-care centres in which more than 10 children are cared for shall conduct fire prevention inspections in conformance
with the fire safety plan at intervals not greater than one month.
