I, Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, order that

(a) effective June 28, 2024, the Chiropractors Regulation, B.C. Reg. 414/2008, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule 1,

(b) effective June 28, 2024, the Massage Therapists Regulation, B.C. Reg. 280/2008, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule 2,

(c) effective June 28, 2024, the Naturopathic Physicians Regulation, B.C. Reg. 282/2008, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule 3,

(d) effective June 28, 2024, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists Regulation, B.C. Reg. 290/2008, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule 4, and

(e) with respect to the amendments referred to in paragraphs (a) to (d) of this order, the notice period for the purposes of section 12 (3) and (4) of the Health Professions Act is 40 days.

Schedule 1

1 Section 1 of the Chiropractors Regulation, B.C. Reg. 414/2008, is amended

(a) by adding the following definition:

"registrant" means a registrant who is authorized under the bylaws to practise chiropractic. , and

(b) by repealing the definition of "college".

2 The following section is added:

College name

1.1 The name of the college responsible for carrying out the objects of the Act in respect of chiropractic is "College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia".

3 The following section is added:

Restricted and provisional registrant classes

3.1 The college is authorized to establish, under section 19 (1) (i) of the Act, a class of

(a) restricted registrants for the purposes of section 20 (4.2) of the Act, and

(b) provisional registrants for the purposes of section 20 (4.3) of the Act.

Schedule 2

1 Section 1 of the Massage Therapists Regulation, B.C. Reg. 280/2008, is amended by adding the following definition:

"registrant" means a registrant who is authorized under the bylaws to practise massage therapy.

2 Section 2 is repealed and the following substituted:

College name

2 The name of the college responsible for carrying out the objects of the Act in respect of massage therapy is "College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia".

3 The following section is added:

Restricted and provisional registrant classes

4.1 The college is authorized to establish, under section 19 (1) (i) of the Act, a class of

(a) restricted registrants for the purposes of section 20 (4.2) of the Act, and

(b) provisional registrants for the purposes of section 20 (4.3) of the Act.

Schedule 3

1 Section 1 of the Naturopathic Physicians Regulation, B.C. Reg. 282/2008, is amended by adding the following definition:

"registrant" means a registrant who is authorized under the bylaws to practise naturopathic medicine; .

2 Section 2 is repealed and the following substituted:

College name

2 The name of the college responsible for carrying out the objects of the Act in respect of naturopathic medicine is "College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia".

3 The following section is added:

Restricted and provisional registrant classes

4.1 The college is authorized to establish, under section 19 (1) (i) of the Act, a class of

(a) restricted registrants for the purposes of section 20 (4.2) of the Act, and

(b) provisional registrants for the purposes of section 20 (4.3) of the Act.

Schedule 4

1 Section 2 of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists Regulation, B.C. Reg. 290/2008, is repealed and the following substituted:

College name

2 The name of the college responsible for carrying out the objects of the Act in respect of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture is "College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia".

2 The following section is added:

Restricted and provisional registrant classes

4.1 The college is authorized to establish, under section 19 (1) (i) of the Act, a class of

(a) restricted registrants for the purposes of section 20 (4.2) of the Act, and

(b) provisional registrants for the purposes of section 20 (4.3) of the Act.
