On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Open Burning Smoke Control Regulation, B.C. Reg. 152/2019, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

1 Section 13 (2) (h) of the Open Burning Smoke Control Regulation, B.C. Reg. 152/2019, is repealed and the following substituted:

(h) no later than 24 hours in advance of starting the open burning, all reasonable efforts are made to give notification of the location of the open burning to the occupants of all residences and businesses within 500 m of the open burning; .

2 Section 20 is amended by striking out "that is less than 2 days" and substituting "that is more than one day but less than 2 days".

3 Section 21 is amended

(a) by striking out "that is less than 4 days" and substituting "that is more than one day but less than 4 days", and

(b) in paragraph (f) by adding "if applicable," before "the open burning ends by 4 p.m.".

4 Section 22 is amended

(a) in paragraph (a) (ii) (B) by adding "if the open burning is for more than one day" after "the second day of the open burning", and

(b) in paragraph (b) by adding "if applicable," before "the open burning ends by 4 p.m.".

5 Section 27 (h) is amended by adding "if applicable," before "the open burning ends by 4 p.m.".
