B.C. Reg. 168/2024, deposited July 2, 2024, under the INTERNATIONAL CREDENTIALS RECOGNITION ACT [sections 3 and 64]. Order in Council 385/2024, approved and ordered July 2, 2024.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective January 1, 2025, the International Credentials Recognition Regulation, B.C. Reg. 129/2024, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

1 Section 3 (1) of the International Credential Recognition Regulation, B.C. Reg. 129/2024 is repealed and the following substituted:

3 (1) For the purposes of section 3 (4) of the Act, the Act applies to the director of certification except for the following provisions of the Act:

(a) section 16 [prohibited requirement respecting Canadian work experience and prescribed matters];

(b) section 17 [prohibited requirements respecting new language testing results and prescribed matters];

(c) Division 2 [Reconsiderations by Superintendent] of Part 5 [Prohibitions and Reconsiderations].
